FOSS4G SotM Oceania is hosting a contribution-sprint Community Day on the final day of the conference, Friday 23rd of November, in the Old Arts Building at the University of Melbourne. Participation in the Community Day will be free-of-charge and all participants will be welcome, regardless of their involvement with the large conference or not.

The general call for presentations is now closed. We got a great response from the community, with over 60 presentations submitted, right up to the last minute. Now we know who the biggest procrastinators are :)

We're working towards a diverse FOSS4G SotM Oceania, so we're pleased to finally announce our Travel Grant Program.

Under this program, we're offering free conference and workshop registration, along with financial support to assist with travel costs. Up to $1000 will be available to recipients who otherwise may not be able to attend.

90 days left until the inaugural FOSS4G SotM Oceania. With half the tickets sold already, the conference is shaping up to be a memorable few days.

The committee would like to draw your attention to the workshops that we have lined-up for November 20th. Workshops are an opportunity to get hands-on training covering a range of geospatial areas.

The workshop program is now published! We have 7 morning and 7 afternoon workshop sessions. They're all so good, the hardest part will be figuring out which two you want to attend!

Each morning or afternoon session morning is $100 to attend, and lunch will be provided. Registration is required, and numbers are limited.

We've been asked whether student registrations will be available. The answer is yes!

We'll have a limited number of student registrations, which will go first to students who are presenting at the conference (presentations or workshops). As a reminder, presentation submissions are due on 31 August, so get your abstracts ready!

The FOSS4G SotM Oceania Conference organising committee is excited to announce our keynote presenters.
